Over the course of 3 weeks upon my arrival to Japan, Polaroid was kind enough to lend me their new Polaroid Music P1 to accompany me as I cross over key locations in Japan. Before I get into my experience with the P1.
To give some context, it’s the first time we see Polaroid, who is known for still photography, take a stab at Bluetooth music players. While it might be shocking for many, I personally thought it was interesting for Polaroid to take on another creative pillar.
Polaroid Music Player P1 is a compact and portable music player that offers a range of features for listening to music on the go. With a compact design and long battery life, it’s a great option for those who want to take their music with them wherever they go. It came in really handy for me for a relaxing time when I was back to my hotel or Airbnb after walking 20,000 steps a day.
Convenience is a no-brainer with a music player as compact as the Polaroid P1. It fits easily into the palm of my hand and has a small handle for a carabiner. Though I didn’t bring it around with me during my travels – Japan is known for its peace and tranquillity in public spaces, it will be a great addition to long hikes or bike rides.
One of the standout features of the Polaroid Music Player P1 is its support for a wide range of file formats, including MP3, WAV, and FLAC. This means users like myself can play their music in high quality, no matter what format it’s in. The player also supports playlists, allowing users to create custom lists of their favourite songs and play them back in any order they choose.
However, for me, I chose to connect via Bluetooth and play songs to fit the travel vibes of this trip. A playlist that accompanied me through this trip was the “Japanese Songs That Just Hit Different” playlist on Spotify.
In addition to its basic playback features, the Polaroid Music Player P1 also offers a range of customization options, including the ability to adjust the equalizer and change the player’s background theme. It also has a built-in FM radio, allowing users to tune in to their favourite stations on the go.
Overall, the Polaroid Music Player P1 is a convenient and portable music player that offers a range of features for listening to music on the go. Its support for a wide range of file formats and customizable options make it a great option for those who want a versatile music player that they can take with them wherever they go.
It is available at select online and retail stores for $99. Robinsons is currently having a sale for the P1, priced at $89 here.
